The Unit Records

The Unit Records is a record label and promotion agency for young bands from Salisbury and the surrounding area.  Its aims are to increase the ability of young people to participate in the local music scene and to assist them wherever possible by providing opportunities and advice and guidance.

Through organising gigs and events, The Unit Records allows young musicians to showcase their talent whilst also providing a venue for young people to hang out for an evening.

The Unit Records also holds weekly workshops covering the A-Z of Music. Everything from band promotion and marketing, drumming techniques, how to tune or de-tune guitars, how to book gigs… everything is covered. These are held on Tuesdays between 5pm and 6pm. Special guests usually present at each workshop, sharing their own knowledge and experience.

Kenny, the happiest guy around, leads The Unit Records as its founder and ‘President’! He is on a placement from the University of Gloucestershire where he studies Music and Media Management.
