Next Young Reviewers Club – Tuesday 10th May, 6-7pm @ The Unit

April 28, 2011 No Comments

The Unit, with the support of the Salisbury Journal and professional radio & digital media broadcasters, have launched a new monthly club for young people who want to review local gigs, theatre, film, dance and art events and get their work published in local media and online!

The next meeting is on Tuesday 1oth May, 6-7pm at The Unit.

Guest Speakers: Laura Bullivant, the Learning and Outreach Officer from Salisbury and South Wiltshire Museum, will be coming in to rally up some young reviewers for the ‘Night at the Museum’ event on Friday 13th May. Amanda Kennedy, a local writer, will also be popping in to give some top writing tips! Having written for over 30 magazine titles, numerous brochures, marketing material and press releases galore, she had a plethora of experience and is looking forward to helping the Young Reviewers Club.
As always, we will also have lots of free event tickets and giveaways..!

Important news: This will be the last Young Reviewers Club for the duration of the summer, as Laura Mather is stepping down from her position at The Unit, having found full-time employment in London. Katey Philbrick (Press Officer at Salisbury Playhouse) will be running this last meeting and Laura’s successor will pick it back up again in September. Laura would like to thank everybody who has been involved with making the club such a success; from the young reviewers themselves, to Salisbury JournalSparksiteSalisbury Arts CentreSalisbury PlayhouseSalisbury International Arts Festival and looks forward to seeing it continue into the future. Please continue to review events throughout the summer and send them through to info@unitspace.org.uk to get them published onto our website.
